The MCY 105 Skylounge is designed by Nuvolari Lenard

Monte Carlo Yachts has unveiled the design of the MCY 105, the third model in its Skylounge Collection following enclosed-flybridge versions of the MCY 70 and MCY 76 released last year. The first MCY 105 Skylounge has been sold to a Hong Kong-based owner and is scheduled to be delivered early next summer, when initial plans include cruising around the Mediterra­nean.

The Skylounge edition of the Italian builder’s flagship model has been developed with Italian design studio Nuvolari Lenard following a lot of feedback from clients around the globe.

The yacht features a 43sqm enclosed flybridge

DYNAMIC DUO

Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard, who boast an extensive expertise in designing megayachts, have designed each MCY model and developed the MCY 105 Skylounge, which features an enormous enclosed flybridge of over 43sqm (462sqft).

The enclosed upper deck features huge skylights

The upper deck features the sole helm station and a transparent ceiling, but otherwise own­ers can customise the area.

“The additional volume offered by the enclosed flybridge provides owners with unmatched levels of freedom, allowing them to customise the yacht according to their personal way of ex­periencing life at sea,” the design duo stated.

The saloon on the main deck

“It’s surprising to think that the whole area of the main deck, or the flybridge, can be destined to uses never imagined before, freeing the creativity and fulfilling the owners’ desires in terms of intended use of the space.”

For example, the flybridge can become a wide and comfortable saloon perfect for dining experiences in complete privacy, while the main deck can be transformed into a spectacular beach club, from the bow lounge to the remarkably spacious aft cockpit.

The master suite is on the main deck

The master suite is forward on the main deck with other guest cabins on the lower deck, while outdoor areas include the aft terrace overlooking the sea and the wide, versatile bow lounge with sun pads and dining tables.

“The Asian owner of this disruptive model chose the Italian shipyard for its capability to meet expectations in terms of customisation and delivery time,” the shipyard stated. “The need was to have a yacht that could be enjoyed not only in extreme cli­mates, but everywhere, thanks to the numerous spacious exterior areas it displays.”
