The exterior design of the 142m Lürssen Alibaba is masterfully penned by Germán Frers of Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering design office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, who gave her a powerful-yet-timeless appearance, while 2,000sqm of interiors spread over five decks and 1,000sqm of exterior social areas are elegantly conceived by Nauta Design
“It has been a super-exciting four years of creative work, setting any minor detail of what I would define an outstanding combination of atmosphere and unique lifestyle experience,” Nauta Design co-founder and President Mario Pedol said.

Among its environmentally-friendly solutions, Alibaba is equipped with a highly efficient diesel-electric hybrid propulsion concept.
She also houses an electric Azimuth pod drive, which gives the owner a vast variety of propulsion modes to suit every situation and every requirement.
“The uniqueness that Alibaba represents,” continued Pedol, “is the result of an extraordinary collaboration between all the involved parties, from Lürssen to Frers and Nauta: a teamwork that has combined elegance, style and technological innovation to the highest standard.”
The delivery of Alibaba to its owner is scheduled for later this year.
