Among Leopard’s five models lined up for the second Singapore Yachting Festival, the brand’s flagship power catamaran has reached the 100-unit mark.
Leopard Catamarans has announced the delivery of the 100th unit of the Leopard 53 Powercat, a model that had its world premiere at the 2020 Miami International Boat Show. Founded in 1997, Leopard is one of the world’s leading builder of pleasure powercats, as well as sailing cats, with all its models built by Robertson and Caine in Cape Town, South Africa.
Franck Bauguil, Leopard’s Vice-President Yacht Ownership & Product Development, said: “We’re thrilled to celebrate the delivery of our 100th Leopard 53 Powercat. This shows the recognition from the motor yacht market of the advantages of a catamaran – more space, more stability for a lot less fuel consumption.
“The Leopard 53 Power catamaran offers exceptional value, simplicity, ease of maintenance and awesome modern design, making it the number one choice in this category for customers around the world.”
Since the launch of its first power catamaran in 2002, the company has been at the forefront of the sector, developing nine models in cooperation with sister charter company The Moorings and Robertson and Caine, and delivering over 700 powercats over the past 22 years under both the Leopard and The Moorings brands.
Leopard’s current range of power catamarans comprises the 53 Powercat, with 100 units delivered since 2020, the 46 Powercat, with 65 units delivered since 2022, and the 40 Powercat, with 25 units delivered since debuting in 2023. All three powercats, along with the Leopard 42 and 50 sailing cats, will be shown at the second Singapore Yachting Festival from April 25-28.
“We take pride in our ability to consistently deliver world-class power catamarans that offer unparalleled performance, comfort and reliability,” Bauguil added. “Our success is testament to the close, historic cooperation between Leopard Catamarans, The Moorings, Robertson and Caine, and Simonis Voogd, the naval architect.”
In addition to serving private buyers, Leopard offers a unique yacht management program in partnership with The Moorings. Under the programme, owners receive a guaranteed income, along with benefits such as no dockage fees, no insurance fees, no maintenance fees and no operational costs. Owners also have access to similar yachts across The Moorings’ 20 destinations worldwide.
Leopard is one of the world’s leading catamaran brands, developing 26 sailing and power models since 1997 and delivering over 2,800 units.
