Regional dealer Asiamarine took on organisation of the Lagoon Escapade Thailand as the French catamaran builder celebrated its 40th anniversary.
Asiamarine hosted the 2024 edition of the annual Lagoon Escapade Thailand, with the event coinciding with four decades since the founding of the French builder, the world’s leading builder of pleasure catamarans.
It was Asiamarine’s first time hosting the popular annual event, after the regional dealer took over representation of Lagoon in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand earlier this year. The dealership described the popular event off Phuket’s east coast as “a weekend filled with adventure, relaxation and camaraderie”.
Eric Noyel, CEO of Asiamarine, said: “The Lagoon Escapade Thailand marked a milestone for Asiamarine, as we brought together a community of Lagoon catamaran enthusiasts in a spirit of adventure and friendship. We were thrilled with the success of this event and are excited to continue our partnership with Lagoon in the years to come.”
Eight Lagoon catamarans joined the rally and beach party, with the fleet sailing across the stunning waters of Phang Nga Bay before gathering at Nina Beach Camp, on the north of the beautiful island of Naka Noi.
The activities included swimming, jumping off yachts, and playing with water toys and towables, as well as a seafood buffet and a cocktail bar on the beach.
Guests seeking tranquillity enjoyed traditional Thai massages, making the experience rejuvenating, while others danced the night away to the tunes of the live band and DJ. The evening ended with a mesmerising fire show on the beach that lit up the night skies.
On the following morning, the festivities continued with beach games for the families, with Naka Noi’s beautiful seafront continuing to provide an ideal setting for the event before the fleet sailed back to Phuket.
“The 2024 Lagoon Escapade Thailand coincided with the 40th anniversary of Lagoon, emphasising the brand’s values of conviviality, elegance and security,” Asiamarine stated. “It offered participants a unique opportunity to embrace the yachting lifestyle while forging new connections and making unforgettable memories.”
Plans are already underway for the next edition of the Lagoon Escapade Thailand, “promising even more opportunities for participants to indulge in the elegance and excitement of the yachting world”.
