IYC has followed up on its ‘transformative’ 2023 by starting the new year with the sale of the Deep Blue 115 new build by Italy’s Cantiere delle Marche, having announced an official partnership with the Italian shipyard last year. Sold to an American client and set to be delivered in 2026, the 35m motor yacht features an exterior by Horacio Bozzo and an interior by Giorgio Cassetta.
Jamie Swaine, an IYC Sales Consultant who represented the buyer, said: “This one-off creation in partnership with Cantiere delle Marche for my client has been an exceptional experience and one that demonstrates the reason they’re the leader in full-custom explorer yachts.
“With a truly one-of-a-kind design, this Deep Blue 115 offers the client a world cruising platform that’s unrivalled in its functionality and sophistication, and demonstrates the strength of the IYC/CdM partnership and what we’re able to offer our client base.”

Deep Blue 115 has a 4,000nm-plus range, a port-opening tender garage, a large swimming pool on the aft main deck, a main saloon with sliding doors on both sides, a foldable starboard terrace next to the dining area, plus accommodation for 10 guests and seven crew.
Vasco Buonpensiere, CdM’s founder and CEO, said: “This success is the result of superb teamwork between Cantiere delle Marche and the owner’s team, led by Jamie Swaine of IYC who has perfectly coordinated the joint efforts of the shipyard, the tech team of Dohle, the designers and the owner. This is another testimony to the strength of the partnership between IYC and CdM.”

IYC’s latest CdM sale helped maintain the strong momentum of 2023, which Executive Chairman Stefanos Makrymichalos described as one of the company’s “most transformative years”. IYC’s yacht sales totalled over US$550 million and included the 70m Lurssen Saint Nicolas (2007) and a trio of 70m new-build Admiral superyachts.
“It was a year of growth where we saw almost every department’s revenues increase beyond our expectations,” Makrymichalos said.
IYC has the world’s largest charter fleet by units and last year it surpassed 150 yachts under charter management, with additions including the new 43.5m This Is It powercat, 44m La La Land, 47m KB6, 50m Ela, 56m Galileo and 68m Loon. The company also added the innovative Reserve function to its online booking platform, which accounts for about a quarter of its retail charters.

Furthermore, IYC almost doubled its yacht management fleet from January to December 2023, while other highlights included the opening of the company’s 15th office, in Dubai.
Michel Chryssicopoulos, IYC’s Global Managing Partner, said: “2023 marked a great year for IYC, not only in terms of number of sales but also for exceeding the milestone of 150 superyachts in our global charter fleet. The revamped marketing team delivered amazing results and the company’s substantial investments in digital are now delivering tangible results for the company’s superyacht owners.
“New partnerships and alliances, in tandem with notable new build deliveries expected in 2024, will further solidify the company’s leading position in the global superyacht industry.”
