Prestige was a star of the 15th International Multihull Show in France as the Groupe Beneteau brand made its debut in La Grande Motte with its M48 and new M8, the 65ft flagship of its M-Line of multihull motor yachts. Four Winns, also of Groupe Beneteau, showed its TH36, the American brand’s first ‘twin-hulled’ motor yacht.
Aquila displayed its 32 Sport outboard cruiser and 42 Yacht, the newest addition to the brand’s inboard flybridge models, while the Aventura 50 MY was among other powercats on display. Sunreef, which builds large sailing and power catamarans, had a booth at this year’s edition.
Leopard had one of the most impressive in-water displays at this year’s event as it showed all three of its Powercat models – the 40 PC, 46 PC and flagship 53 PC – while a Moorings 403 represented the three-cabin charter version of the Leopard 40 Powercat.
Leopard, whose catamarans are built by Robertson & Caine in South Africa, also displayed its 42 and 50 sailing catamarans, while a Sunsail 424 and 454 represented four-cabin charter versions of the Leopard 42 and 45 respectively.
Lagoon showed five sailing catamarans, with its 42, 46, 51, 55 and Sixty 5, while fellow Groupe Beneteau builder Excess showed its 11 and 14 models, measuring 37ft and 52ft respectively.
Fountaine Pajot also displayed five models, lining up the Astrea 42, Elba 45, Tanna 47, Aura 51 and Alegria 67. Bali had seven sailing cats on show, ranging from the entry-level Catsmart and 40ft Catspace to the 4.2, 4.4, 4.6, 4.8 and 5.4, while sister brand Catana displayed its 50ft Ocean Class.
