Groupe Beneteau has unveiled its Seanapps technology, which allows owners to stay connected to a wide range of information about their yacht. Developed with Sentinel Marine Solutions, Seanapps features a telemetry box installed on boats that allows owners an easy way to oversee their management and maintenance needs through an app.

Owners can access and check the main functions of their boat such as fuel, water, battery and bilge levels, engine information and even interior humidity and temperature. Seanapps also tracks navigation data such as distance travelled and average and top speeds, while also providing information on the boat’s environment such as GPS position, wind and water depth.

From September 2022, Seanapps will be fitted on every new boat from Beneteau, Jeanneau and Prestige. The technology is currently available on selected Beneteau sailing yachts (First Yacht 53, Oceanis Yacht 54 and 62) and its Swift Trawler and Grand Trawler 62 motorboats, the Jeanneau Yachts (51, 54, 60, 65) sailing range and all Prestige motor yachts. A retrofit option is also available.

Gianguido Girotti, Deputy CEO of Group Beneteau, said: “Developed together with our partner Sentinel Marine Solutions, this on-board smart application enables boaters, dealers and charter companies to connect to their boat or fleet at any time. We are very excited to kick start this solution with a series of Beneteau, Jeanneau and Prestige models.

“By 2025, all 9,000 boats we build every year will be equipped with Seanapps as standard equipment. It illustrates well our philosophy and our business approach: we are the integrators of a solution developed by our partner, a solution that we deploy on a vast scale.”
