Greenline Yachts will premiere the Greenline 42 at Boot Dusseldorf 2026 (January 17-25), adding to a range that starts with the 39 and 40 cruisers and extends to Coupe and Fly versions of the 45, 48 and the flagship 58 that debuted in 2023. All Greenline motoryachts feature the option of hybrid or diesel propulsion.

In production in Slovenia, the Greenline 42 features a hardtop covered in 10 solar panels, each rated 430W for a total maximum output of 4,300W, which is enough to run all hotel appliances and recharge the battery bank (up to 6kWh) faster. The yacht’s solar output marks a near 67 per cent increase from the current Greenline 40, which has six equivalent solar panels.

It also shows the advances in technology since Vladimir Zinchenko founded Greenline in 2008, when the yard’s first model, the best-selling Greenline 33, featured six solar panels each rated 125W. The shipyard has since built almost 1,000 Greenline boats.

For the Greenline 42, MICAD handled the naval architecture of a “better optimised” hull, with the yacht expected to have a top speed of 25 knots only using the twin 250p Yanmar engines, making it faster than the Greenline 40 with the same propulsion.

Cockpit options on Greenline 42

The hybrid option, using Greenline’s proprietary H-Drive 6G, includes two 23kW electric motors and optimises battery charging and fuel consumption, allowing silent manoeuvring. In electric mode, the yacht has a 20nm range at five knots.

Marco Casali continues his collaboration with the brand and has designed the exterior and interior of the 42, which Greenline has described as its most customisable to date. Notable developments include the aft cockpit, which is offered in either a ‘clean’ design with fold-out transom or with a longitudinal table, facing sofas and two side gates.

Casali’s interior is offered in multiple styles including Honey Teak and Modern Oak. Notable developments include aft galley windows that can slide open or closed, while layout options include an extra sofa in the saloon and the choice in the owner’s suite of either an en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet or vanity table.

“The Greenline 42 was an exciting challenge for us,” Casali said. “We need to follow the huge success of other models by adding even more comfort onboard and a more modern shape respecting our timeless lines.

“From the interior point of view, the big revolution was the full-glass ending of the saloon that allows big openings of the galley and creates a strong connection with the cockpit, which is now offered in two versions.”
