Azimut-Benetti tops Global Order Book for 25th year

For a quarter of a century, Azimut-Benetti has been the leading shipyard for 24m-plus yachts based on total length.

Azimut-Benetti Group is the leading builder of 24m-plus yachts by total length according to the 2025 edition of the Global Order Book, which Boat International produces based on data from 185 shipyards on five continents.
It marks the 25th successive year that Azimut-Benetti has topped the builder’s list. The Italian shipyard is listed as having 164 units under construction for a total of 5,905m, which corresponds to about 20 per cent of the 24m-plus yacht market under examination by the Global Order Book.

The data reflects Azimut-Benetti’s record results of the last financial year, which ended on August 31, 2024, with revenues of €1.3 billion and an order portfolio that extends to 2029.

Azimut produces motoryachts ranging in length from 12-44m, while Benetti focuses on superyachts from 34m to over 100m in length, including full-custom projects.
With the Group focused on reducing emissions, Benetti offers hybrid versions of almost its entire range. Currently, a total of 10 hybrid superyachts are under construction at the Benetti shipyard, with seven of the 13 orders for B.Yond superyachts featuring hybrid technology.
Sanlorenzo is second in the Global Order Book with 125 projects totalling 4,448m, Feadship is third with 1,525m, while The Italian Sea Group is fourth with 22 projects totalling 1,356m. Lürssen has 12 projects totalling 1,254m, with an average build of 104.5m.
Overmarine, owner of the Mangusta brand, is sixth with 26 projects totalling 1,095m and is followed by Princess (1,094m, 42 projects), Ocean Alexander (1,064m, 33 projects), Sunreef (1,006m, 35 projects) and Damen Yachting (1,002m, 14 projects). Shipyards 11-19 on the list are Baglietto, Sunseeker, CdM, Palumbo Superyachts, Bilgin, Horizon, Heesen, Viking and Rossinavi.
