The superyacht brokerage reveals that charter bookings remain strong across the traditional hubs of the Mediterranean and Caribbean, with new hot spots popping up and new yachts in demand.
Anders Kurtén, CEO, Fraser
In Fraser’s ‘Market Insight’ for Issue 84 of Yacht Style, CEO Anders Kurtén states that bookings for the 2025 summer season have been strong this year, with a very active market. “We are expecting the number of charters for the year to easily match, and probably exceed, 2024 bookings,” he says.
In terms of destinations, the most popular regions remain broadly similar to previous years, with the Mediterranean and Caribbean accounting for almost 75 per cent of Fraser’s total bookings for 2025. Drilling down into specific cruising grounds, Corsica and Sardinia are very popular this year, as is the Amalfi Coast.
“We are also receiving, as ever, a huge amount of interest in Greece, where Fraser is privileged to manage for charter the highest-valued fleet of Greek charter yachts in the world today,” Kurtén says.
“The spring season saw significant interest in Costa Rica, which is a relatively new area for yachting and attracting adventurous clients.”
Kurtén also noted that new charter yachts are in particular demand due to the inclusion of greater waterside areas, storage for toys, and other lifestyle and wellness facilities.
“Looking at trends in charter, we have noted in recent years a strong demand from charterers for modern, brand-new yachts, as clients are now more interested in staying on board to enjoy the water toys, food, service and amenities.”
