A customised Bali 4.8 sailing catamaran featuring Minotti upholstery and furniture was recently delivered to Hong Kong, where it’s already available for charter through Asiamarine.
The first Bali 4.8 in Hong Kong is available for charter
Asiamarine CEO Eric Noyel has taken delivery of a luxuriously customised Bali 4.8 (Review, Issue 59 – click to read) and put the 15m sailing catamaran into charter through the yacht services company he founded in Hong Kong in 2013.
Happy Fifty, a three-cabin Bali 4.8, can have up to 15 guests for an eight-hour day charter at HK$38,000 (about US$4,900) and up to six guests overnight for a 24-hour charter at HK$68,000 (about US$8,700).
The saloon is open to the elements due to the Bali door
Prices cover two crew and water toys including an aluminium-hulled semi-rigid tender, underwater scooter, mini diving bottles with compressor, eFoil electric surfboard, paddleboards, two-seater kayak, snorkelling masks, inflatables, rackets, balls, frisbees and professional fishing gear.
Noyel didn’t have charter in mind when he bought the yacht, his fifth, but instead wanted to buy the largest amount of living space that he could own on the water and operate with Hong Kong’s Grade Two licence, which covers yachts up to 50ft.

“The yacht has 1,100sqft of living space and anyone with a Grade Two licence can own and operate the yacht by themselves, although of course it’s nice to also have crew if you want,” said Noyel, whose company started representing Bali in 2020.
“This is the largest amount of real estate you can own on the water and operate with a Grade Two licence in Hong Kong.”
The Bali 4.8 is the French builder’s second-largest model, after the 5.4, and has the iconic tilting ‘Bali door’ that lifts into the ceiling to fully connect the aft cockpit with the main-deck interior.
It also has a forward door from the saloon to the solid foredeck, which has a sunken cockpit and a wide table with two sofas, as well as five forward sunpads.
The flybridge is covered by a hard top, a first on a Bali 4.8
Aft, a bathing platform links with the two sugar scoops to create a full-beam beach club by the water, where there’s also access to a starboard barbecue.
The yacht’s outdoor areas also include a large flybridge, which also has a dining table, large L-shaped sofa and an aft sunbathing area. Noyel also ordered a hard top, a first for a 4.8 flybridge and a welcome addition to provide shade while enjoying the flybridge.
As well as Bali, Asiamarine also represents Galeon, Wellcraft, Tige, Nimbus, and has represented Fraser in multiple markets in Asia since 2018.
