Ferretti Group Asia Pacific has announced the sale of a new Ferretti Yachts 1000 (Review, Issue 61) by Taiwanese dealer Amal Yachting. In the wake of the ongoing pandemic, the owner – who has chartered superyachts in Europe – made the decision to purchase the 30m model to explore Taiwan and cruise in Japan when possible.

The FY1000 was shown at Venice and Cannes last year

The Ferretti Yachts 1000 was designed by Ferretti’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department in collaboration with Filippo Salvetti for the exterior and La Spezia-based IdeaeItalia for the interior. The flow between outdoor spaces means the flybridge connects to both the aft cockpit and foredeck, while features include a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck

Founded in 2014, Amal Yachting is headed by co-founder Tee Tzer-yu (Asia’s Yachting Leaders, Issue 63) and has represented Ferretti Yachts, Pershing and Riva in Taiwan since 2019. Last year, Amal Yachting staged handover events in Kaohsiung and Taipei for the first Ferretti Yachts 670 in Asia before delivering the region’s first Ferretti Yachts 500.
