Ferretti Group collaborates with Fornasetti
The yacht builder and design atelier announce a new Made in Italy and made-to-measure partnership involving the Riva and Custom Line brands.
Ferretti Group has announced a partnership with Fornasetti, the Italian ‘decorative art’ brand renowned for its iconic designs and artisan craftsmanship. The collaboration stems from the two companies’ shared passion for art and design, based on the pursuit of excellence and innovation.
The partnership will initially focus on the Riva and Custom Line brands, with Fornasetti furniture and accessories already featuring in the private room at Riva’s La Spezia shipyard. Fornasetti will offer Riva and Custom Line yacht owners an exclusive, immersive experience by creating elegant, original ambiences, with new projects to be presented in the coming months.
Arguably the most iconic brand in yachting, Riva celebrated its 180th anniversary last year and builds models from 27-177ft (8-54m) across Open, Sportfly, Flybridge and Superyacht ranges. Founded in 1996, Custom Line builds composite or aluminium Planing and Navetta superyachts from 93-164ft (28-50m), with custom interiors reflecting the owner’s desires, character and approach to the sea.
Both Ferretti Group, which has seven yacht brands, and Fornasetti are proud of their Made in Italy culture, a commitment to offering prestige products that combine typically Italian elegance, style, creativity, craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Another key value underpinning the collaboration is the concept of made-to-measure, which Custom Line, Riva and Fornasetti apply in each of their projects to ensure their customers enjoy a unique aesthetic experience that reflects their tastes and personality.
Fornasetti, founded in 1940, endows everyday objects with high cultural value and uses decoration to send out an artistic message through pieces handmade by skilled artisans in limited editions. Capable of transforming furniture, accessories and ceramics into original ‘conversation pieces’, the Milan atelier has its own visual language featuring imagination, humour, nostalgia, metaphor and allusion.
