Italian shipbuilder Ferretti Group just launched a new entry to the metal yacht segment with a Custom Line 50 made entirely from aluminium.
Ferretti’s has launched its first all-aluminium pleasure vessel Custom Line 50, named M/Y Asante. The superyacht made its debut at a special ceremony held at Ferretti Group’s Superyacht Yard in Ancona.
The new 50m made-to-measure alloy line flagship features a displacement hull under 499 GT, becoming the first Custom Line in the metal yacht segment under 500 GT.
The new Custom Line 50 was unveiled at Ferretti Group’s Superyacht Yard in Ancona.
The 49.94m superyacht is a result of a collaboration between Ferretti Group’s Superyachts Division Engineering team working on exteriors and ACPV Architects, which designed the yacht’s bespoke interiors.

The yacht’s design extends across four decks, centred around a master suite forward on the upper deck. With four additional VIP cabins on the lower deck, the superyacht can accommodate up to 12 guests on board and nine crew.
“The new flagship, which opens up a new market segment for Custom Line, is a vessel bathed in light and water born out of extraordinarily in-depth and effective studies into the yacht’s volumes and spaces,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi, following the yacht’s launch.

In the owner’s stateroom, 180-degree views afford direct access to a large private terrace in the bow, with a spacious private lounge area and sunpad, while floor-to-ceiling windows and reflective surfaces in lounges on the main and upper decks, as well as a water’s edge beach club, affords constant and accessible marine views.
Custom Line 50 M/Y Asante will make her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 in September.
