Dubai show postponed to November

Organisers of the Dubai International Boat Show state that future editions will also be held at a similar time of year.

Originally scheduled from April 8-12, this year’s Dubai International Boat Show has been rescheduled to November 25-29 and will remain at Dubai Harbour, the event’s host venue since 2022. The status of this year’s edition had been in question since conflict in the Middle East started on February 28.

Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of Dubai World Trade Centre, the show organiser, stated: “The events right now affect the commercial and leisure maritime business globally, not only in the region.

“We’ve been closely reviewing international travel dynamics and market conditions across the wider region, and following consultations with our industry partners and authorities, we have jointly agreed to reschedule.”

LohMirmand revealed that the show would retain its new November slot for subsequent editions due to its appealing position in the local boating calendar.

“The November timing presents a strong strategic opportunity for the event and for the industry. November marks the beginning of the Middle East’s prime boating season, creating optimal market conditions for sales, launches and client engagement.”

Organisers also hope that this year’s event could benefit from the completion of a new ‘super bridge’ connecting Sheikh Zayed Road directly to the venue and a new multi-storey car park, significantly improving accessibility to the show.

“We look forward to uniting the international boating community once again in Dubai this November for an expanded, vibrant edition of the Dubai International Boat Show,” LohMirmand stated.
