DCH Marine continues Asia-Pacific expansion

Now the APAC representative for Sunseeker, Saxdor and Williams, DCH Marine has big plans for growth in Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Headquartered in Hong Kong and with offices in Shenzhen (China) and Singapore, DCH Marine is planning to continue its Asia-Pacific expansion by opening offices in Phuket (Thailand), as well as across Australia, including in New South Wales, Gold Coast and Perth.

A newly branded dealership with a decade of success in Greater China, DCH Marine currently represents Sunseeker, Saxdor and Williams across the entire Asia-Pacific region, where the growing dealership plans to have a strong presence at the region’s leading boat shows.

A participant at the recent Lantau Yacht Club Boat Show – Festa Nautica in Hong Kong, DCH Marine is preparing to exhibit at the Hong Kong International Boat Show (November 28-December 1, 2024), Thailand International Boat Show (January 9-12, 2025) and Singapore Yachting Festival (April 10-13, 2025).

The company will then turn its attention to Australia, where it will participate at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (22-25 May 2025) and Sydney International Boat Show (July 31-August 3, 2025).

Adam Waters, DCH Marine’s Managing Director, said: “DCH Marine employs many of the region’s foremost yachting professionals and experts, and our team continues to grow across Asia-Pacific as we roll out new markets and offices.

We’ve always been committed to providing the best customer experience, so we’re investing heavily in our people, premises and product offerings to ensure we continue to lead in this market.”

DCH Marine’s services across its varied markets and locations in Asia-Pacific include new yacht sales, brokerage, after-sales services and maintenance. Founded in 2013 as Princess Yachts Greater China, the dealership recently concluded its official representation of the British builder, although it continues to support its Princess clients for ongoing warranty and service work.

As it recently embarked on a new era, the dealership was renamed DCH Marine ahead of its appointment as Sunseeker’s exclusive master distributor for Asia-Pacific, with the new name reflecting the company’s ownership by the Dah Chong Hong (DCH) Holdings conglomerate.

Earlier this year, Sunseeker announced DCH Marine’s representation of the brand in Singapore and then Australia and New Zealand before revealing in September that the dealership was overseeing all of Asia-Pacific – the largest territory ever assigned to a single distributor.

As DCH Marine, we entered a long-term agreement with Sunseeker International, which cemented the next step in our future,” Waters said. “Sunseeker wanted master distributors to cover large territories, and it suited us to work with them across Asia-Pacific. The partnership was a natural extension of our growth strategy.”

DCH Marine is Sunseeker’s fourth master distributor around the globe, complementing One Water Yacht Group (USA), Sunseeker London Group (Mediterranean) and Sunseeker Gulf (Middle East).

From its manufacturing base in Poole on England’s south coast, Sunseeker employs about 2,200 people and every year produces around 130 boats ranging from 38-161ft, with 98 per cent exported. With Asia-Pacific already home to over 500 Sunseeker yachts, DCH Marine is well-positioned to build on this strong foundation.

Douglas Culverwell, Sunseeker International’s Director of Distributor Development, said: “DCH Marine has consistently demonstrated a world-class level of customer service and support. Asia-Pacific is a vital region for Sunseeker, and we’re truly excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring.”

DCH Marine’s new yachts portfolio also includes British company Williams, one of the world’s leading producers of jet tenders and formerly represented by the dealership when it was known as Princess Yachts Greater China.

In January, DCH Marine’s ambitions were underlined when it was announced at Boot Dusseldorf that it was the Asia-Pacific representative of Saxdor, the fast-growing Finnish builder of luxury, versatile day boats and the latest shipyard founded by renowned designer Sakari Mattila.

Part of DCH Marine’s remit is to help select distributors outside of its core Asia-Pacific markets, exemplified by the recent appointment of Yacht Sourcing as Saxdor’s Indonesia representative, with more to come.
