Bad Company Support 175 has been delivered to its owner, Taiwan-born Anthony Hsieh, founder of loanDepot.
Damen Yachting has delivered the first Yacht Support 53 (YS 53) to Taiwanese American Anthony Hsieh, with Bad Company Support 175 joining the owner’s Bad Company fleet as the 175-footer takes on an ambitious deep-sea fishing and conservation programme.
Built in Turkey and launched last year in the presence of Hsieh, a keen sports fisherman, the Yacht Support 53 will serve as fast support to the Bad Company sport fishing fleet and operate as the main hub for Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean activities.
The 53m, 499GT support vessel will provide a base for equipment and dedicated programmes, as well as long-term and short-term onboard living and accommodation facilities for the owner and his specialist crew. The yacht has accommodation for eight guests and 10 crew plus captain.
To tailor the vessel’s design and performance to the owner’s preferences and specific requirements, Damen Yachting communicated throughout the project with the owner’s representative, Neil Emmott.
“In pursuit of a lifelong dream, the owner’s involvement has been crucial in shaping the project, with enhancements based on his personal and very specific requests,” Emmott said.
“These include accommodating a game boat, helicopter hangar and custom jacuzzi, transforming the main deck lounge into a dedicated strategy meeting room, and integrating a Starlink antenna for improved connectivity.”
Damen Yachting handled the exterior and interior design, and naval architecture of Yacht Support 53. The model’s second hull, Five Oceans, was launched in Damen Yachting’s Antalya facility earlier this year.
