The Ferretti Group megayacht builder has signed a contract to build a 220ft Nuvolari Lenard design with an innovative diesel-electric propulsion system.
Project Maranello is CRN’s eighth collaboration with Nuvolari Lenard
CRN, part of the Ferretti Group, will build a 67m steel and aluminium yacht custom designed by Nuvolari Lenard for a client represented by brokers Moran Yacht & Ship. CRN M/Y 143, entitled project Maranello, will include a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system for greater energy efficiency and significantly reduced fuel consumption.
Project Maranello is the eighth collaboration with Nuvolari Lenard since 2001 and follows Magnifica (43m), Clarena (46m), Saramour (46m), Azteca (72m), Atlante (55m) and Voice (62m), while M/Y 141 (60m) is under construction. As well as M/Y 141, CRN’s current ongoing builds include M/Y 138 (62m), M/Y 139 (72m) and M/Y 142 (52m).
