Camper & Nicholsons is overseeing the build of the 24m, classically styled motor yacht, which is set to arrive in Southeast Asia in 2024.
Codecasa launched the 24m Vero for an Asia-based client in Viareggio on Monday. Carmen Lau, Senior Advisor at Camper & Nicholsons, sold Vero to an Asia-based client in 2021 and was present at its christening ceremony in Italy. The motor yacht is scheduled for delivery in spring 2024 and to arrive in Southeast Asia by the summer.
“Vero is truly extraordinary, blending vintage charm with modern elegance through its use of mahogany, stainless steel and a touch of 1960s chic,” Lau said. “The client fell in love with this project from the very start. We eagerly await the arrival of this exceptional gem in Asia, confident that she will captivate the attention of anyone who sees her.”
Designed by Luca Dina Design & Architecture, Vero has the style of a classic gentleman’s yacht, but boasts modern systems, state-of-art technology and advanced functionality. Powered by two 1,550hp Man V12 engines, Vero can reach 25 knots and has a range of over 2,000nm at nine knots. The yacht is accompanied by a full-custom aluminium tender.
Codecasa’s build team for Vero is headed by Project Manager Roberto Dalle Mura with support from Gabriele Codecasa and Matteo Buonomo, while Camper & Nicholsons’ New Build team is overseeing the yacht’s construction, with Sara Maggi as Project Manager.
Daniela Duck, Camper & Nicholsons’ Head of New Build Division, said Vero presented an “exciting challenge” to achieve superyacht features in a 24m motor yacht.
“With our Project Manager Sara Maggi on site throughout the two-year build and collaborating closely with the builder and buyer’s teams, we were able to deliver a highly functional and elegant motor yacht,” Duck said. “It was a pleasure to work with this family-run shipyard and their dedicated team to create such an authentic yacht.”
Vero’s main deck includes the saloon and owner’s suite, while the lower deck features three more guest cabins and two twin crew cabins.
Ennio Buonomo, CEO of Codecasa, said: “This yacht is a one-off. I’d like to thank Codecasa’s team and the Camper & Nicholsons New Build team for their professionalism. This is a unique yacht and it’s going to the East!”
