Camper & Nicholsons is collaborating with Neom’s Sindalah island, which is scheduled to open in March and be the first of the mega-project’s regions to begin operations. Sindalah’s marina will feature 86 berths and 75 moorings, according to the developer.
Situated in northwest Saudi Arabia, Sindalah is located by the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba and close to the entrance of the Gulf of Suez, with Neom promoting the island as a “captivating winter retreat” due to its proximity to the Suez Canal.
The Red Sea is home to pristine waters, colourful coral and diverse marine life, while the opening of Sindalah and other Red Sea destinations along with Saudi Arabia’s efforts to enhance yachting regulations, including the establishment of the Ebhar platform for crews, are expected to increase superyachts visiting the region.
Aayush Killa, Neom’s Executive Director, said: “We are delighted to partner with Camper & Nicholsons for Sindalah. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our vision at Neom, combining luxury with a profound respect for the pristine environment of the Red Sea.
“Camper & Nicholsons, with their unparalleled expertise in the luxury yachting sector, brings an exceptional understanding of our clientele’s desires. Their commitment to excellence and sustainability resonates deeply with Neom’s core values, making them the ideal partner to help us realise our aspiration of transforming Sindalah into a world-class yachting destination.”
Featuring 12 offices across the yachting world, Camper & Nicholsons is a global leader in superyacht sales, purchase, new builds, construction, project management, charter, marketing, crew services, yacht management and insurance.
According to a statement from Camper & Nicholsons, the company will “lend its refined yachting expertise to Sindalah … bringing its refined expertise and providing its full suite of yachting services to the island”.
Paolo Casani, CEO of Camper & Nicholsons, said: “Sindalah is more than a destination; it’s an invitation to explore the untouched wonders of the Red Sea. The synergy between Camper & Nicholsons and Neom has given rise to a yachting haven that perfectly encapsulates luxury amid the breathtaking beauty of this unexplored frontier. Sindalah beckons those who seek a sublime yachting experience like never before.”
Aside from Sindalah, Neom’s regions include The Line (a 170km-long city), Oxagon (floating port city), Trojena (60sqm ski and adventure mountain resort) and Gulf of Aqaba. The latter includes Leyja (valley hotels), Epicon (futuristic hotels, residences, beach resort), Siranna (seaside resort and apartments), Utamo (entertainment venue), Norlana (waterfront community), Aquellum (subterranean digitalised community) and Zardun (nature and wildlife sanctuary).
