The Italian shipyard has announced first-time projects with Espen Øino, Igor Lobanov and Valentina Zannier, ranging from interiors to 85m concepts.
RWD designed the Veranda Deck™, for the Motopanfilo 45M
Benetti has announced a series of collaborations with new designers including Russian Igor Lobanov’s work on the B.Yond 55M, the interiors of the 85m Project Oro by Italy’s Valentina Zannier and the Project Life 85M featuring an exterior by Norwegian Espen Øino.
As part of its ‘Shaping the Future’ announcement, the shipyard also announced the Veranda Deck™, which has been developed with British studio RWD. The Veranda Deck™ is initially being proposed on the steel-hulled Motopanfilo 45M, which is the big sister to the Motopanfilo 37M and also features interiors and exterior deck design by Italy-based Lazzarini Pickering Architetti.
The Veranda Deck™ is a reinterpretation of the main-deck saloon, opening the space completely on three sides to create a continuous environment between the interior and aft deck. RWD also developed the Oasis Deck®, as featured on the Oasis 40M and Oasis 34M, and offered on B.Now models from the 50M to 72M.
B.Yond 55M by Igor Lobanov
Lobanov is working with Benetti for the first time on the B.Yond 55M, a big, five-deck sister to the steel-hulled B.Yond 37M designed by the late Stefano Righini and initiated by Azimut founder Paolo Vitelli.
For the exterior design, Lobanov was inspired by the clean lines of the luxury automotive world, focusing on the creation of fluid yet massive, robust and rounded shapes. “A game of optical illusions characterises the side of this 55m vessel, creating a highly suggestive visual effect”, Benetti stated.
Lobanov was tasked with enhancing the ‘Voyager’ spirit of the line, offering guests diverse experiences and environments for long stays on board. To provide for more activities, the concept of layout ‘fluidity’ was introduced. Replacing the classic ideal of symmetry with an innovative approach to the positioning of the stairs, new spaces were created inside the yacht.
Project Life 85M exterior by Espen Øino
Øino’s first work for Benetti is the exterior design of the Project Life 85M, which features interiors by Francois Zuretti, who has a long history with the Azimut-Benetti Group.
Based in Monaco, Øino is one of the world’s leading designers of megayachts and “all the spaces aboard Project Life are designed for a new kind of social entertainment with large convivial areas and reconfigurable meeting places on each deck”, Benetti stated. One example is a large, revolving lounge that changes its focal point according to the time of the day.
Project Life is equipped with modern technologies to reduce consumption including a highly efficient, optimised hull; diesel-electric propulsion with fossil and non-fossil fuel (HVO) technology and POD transmission; and integrated hybrid solar panels that collect both solar and thermal energy to power the tenders, toys and appliances.

Zuretti’s work with Benetti includes Ambrosia, Saga and the Classic, Tradition and Vision series. For Project Life, Zuretti’s decor choices create a balance between the colours and the surrounding environment, which materialises with an expanded opening, allowing natural light to enhance the spaces and the continuously moving landscape.
Zuretti worked on the materials and particularly ceiling heights to achieve spatial and stylistic continuity between interior and exterior, creating contemporary and welcoming environments. This modern choice – which favours curved lines – is showcased in the main reception, main saloon and upper lounge. Sea views are enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows, while a specially designed lighting system creates evocative atmospheres in all the leisure areas.
Beach Club on Project Oro, featuring interiors by Valentina Zannier
Zannier, who recently created her own studio after more than two decades with Nuvolari Lenard, was selected to create the interiors of the Project Oro, an 85m concept featuring an exterior design and layouts by Giorgio Cassetta and presented in September 2022.
Zannier’s work focuses on the interaction between the contemporary style of the surfaces and the classic details of the yacht. Fluid shapes and the strong link between external and internal spaces are connected, while the extensive use of natural materials combined with a palette of neutral yet warm colours provide an authentic air.

Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut-Benetti Group, said: “It’s a great pleasure for me to announce our new collaborations and projects. Offering cutting-edge yachts to the market is our mission, hence the need to further expand the brand’s collaborations with the best designers in the world.
“We’re also proud to announce new revolutions in the world of yachting, of which the Veranda Deck is the new standard bearer. It’s a symposium, a triumph of excellence in yachting under the Benetti flag, and I’m very proud of it.”
