The country’s first new 30m-plus superyacht will be available for charter in Halong Bay through Azimut dealer Tam Son Yachting.
Dong Hai is Vietnam’s largest new luxury superyacht
An Azimut Grande 32M, Dong Hai, has arrived in Vietnam, becoming the country’s first new 30m-plus semi-custom superyacht. Featuring exterior design by the late Stefano Righini and an interior by Achille Salvagni, the 105ft flybridge motoryacht will soon be the first luxury superyacht to charter in Halong Bay, arguably the most famous of Vietnam’s eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The charter initiative is a collaboration between the yacht’s owner, Azimut and Tam Son Yachting, the Italian builder’s exclusive dealer in Vietnam. Tam Son Yachting will manage all charter operations as it seeks to offer international visitors a unique, premium experience amid stunning natural scenery.
Vu Tran, the dealership’s Commercial Director, said: “We’re proud to have supported the owner in bringing Vietnam’s first customised superyacht to the country. This Azimut Grande 32M marks a significant milestone for Tam Son Yachting and Vietnam’s yachting industry.
“Dong Hai will operate in Halong Bay as Vietnam’s first charter superyacht. Her presence will elevate both the yachting and tourism sectors in Vietnam, representing a breakthrough for Tam Son Yachting in expanding Azimut’s presence while contributing to the nation’s offerings.”

The yacht’s owner, Mr Toan, expressed his delight after witnessing the arrival of the yacht, whose outdoor areas include a beach club, covered aft cockpit, foredeck and open flybridge. The yacht can host up to 10 overnight guests in a main-deck owner’s suite and four lower-deck guest cabins, while there’s also accommodation for five crew berths.
“I’m delighted to see my masterpiece completed exactly as I envisioned from the beginning,” said Mr Toan. “This project took approximately three years of dedicated work to achieve these outstanding results. I’d like to thank Tam Son Yachting and Azimut for supporting me in bringing this superyacht to Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site, which will enhance our ability to serve international visitors.”
