Azimut has appointed Europa Yachts as its official dealer for Indonesia, and Short Marine for all of Australia. The recent appointments complement the brand’s existing distributors in the likes of mainland China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Enrico Chiaussa, Azimut’s CCO for EMEA-APAC, said: “With these new appointments, we are not only expanding our footprint but also enriching the strength of our network. Azimut now boasts the most comprehensive dealership presence in the Asia-Pacific region, and this milestone reflects our strategic vision of pairing world-class products with localised excellence.”
Europa Yachts’ appointment for Indonesia represents a market expansion for the dealership, which was founded in the Philippines in 2013. The company is headed by Managing Director Thomas Cachera and represents Azimut along with several other leading brands in the Philippines.
Alvin Gozali – whose business portfolio includes Thamrin Nine and the 385m Autograph Tower, Indonesia’s tallest building – will assist Europa Yachts with its new Indonesian operation, which will cover sales, marketing, after-sales, customer service and technical maintenance.
“We are honoured and excited to bring Azimut Yachts back to Indonesia,” Gozali stated. “By combining my deep market knowledge and connections in Indonesia with Thomas’s expertise and the strong foundation of Europa Yachts, we’re confident this partnership will deliver exceptional results and elevate the yachting experience in the region.
“Azimut is by far the leading yacht brand in our country, and we will do our best in order to solidify this leadership and welcome new clients to the Azimut world.”
In Australia, Azimut has partnered with Short Marine, a Sydney-based dealer founded in 1982. Short Marine will represent Azimut in partnership with Balmain, a financial services organisation.
Murry Offord, Balmain’s Head of Asset Management, said: “This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for Azimut in the region, combining Balmain’s solidity in establishing import operations in the Australian market with Short Marine’s outstanding reputation and deep understanding of the Australian marine market. Together, we look forward to delivering an unparalleled yachting experience to our clients across the country.”
