Aquila reveals upcoming 46 Yacht

SHARE

The new 46 Yacht flybridge powercat will have its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

Aquila Power Catamarans is scheduled to stage the world premiere of its 46 Yacht at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9-14), followed by its US premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 29-November 2).

The flybridge power catamaran is billed as a little sister to Aquila’s 50 Yacht, which debuted at last year’s Fort Lauderdale show. The 46 Yacht features a similar explorer-style aesthetic but in a smaller package, with an overall length of 47ft 2in and a beam of 23ft 3in.

Jean Raas, Chief Product Officer and CEO of Aquila USA, commented: “The Aquila 46 Yacht represents our commitment to bringing larger yacht innovation to a more accessible platform.

“This yacht delivers the spaciousness, capability and luxury our customers expect from Aquila, while maintaining the intimate scale that makes it perfect for couples or smaller groups seeking premium experiences on the water.”

The 46 Yacht has been designed for long-range cruising and has CE Category A ocean certification. In the standard configuration, the yacht will be powered by twin 320hp Volvo Penta D4 engines.

A generous beam helps allow for up to 24 guests to be hosted on board when at anchor, while varying cabin configurations – including a full-beam master suite forward – can accommodate up to 10 guests overnight.

Interior spaces have been designed in an open-plan style, with a saloon and galley flooded by light due to panoramic windows. Owners can also opt for an added interior helm, in addition to the flybridge station.

A sliding door creates a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, with further alfresco entertaining areas in the aft cockpit and up on the shaded flybridge, where additional features include a wet bar and sunpads.

Advanced options include the Aquila Hydro Glide Foil System for enhanced efficiency and a greater cruising range, fully-integrated and standard-issue C-Zone digital switching, and a lithium battery system to enhance sustainability.

Alain Raas, Aquila’s Global Brand Director, stated: “The 46 Yacht perfectly captures what makes Aquila special – meticulous attention to the details that matter most to boaters. From the expansive beam that creates remarkable interior volume to the flexible cabin configurations that adapt to different cruising styles, every element has been designed to enhance the owner’s experience.”

Aquila’s dealers in Asia include Marine Italia in Hong Kong and Singapore, Primus Marine in Thailand, Europa Yachts in the Philippines and Indonesia, and Tam Son Yachting in Vietnam.
