Third Amels 80 hull arrives in Netherlands

Following its launch at Damen Yachting’s hull-building facility in Romania, Amels 8003 recently arrived in Vlissingen for outfitting.

The third Amels 80 has arrived in Vlissingen, in southwest Netherlands, where the 261ft superyacht is now in the outfitting stage ahead of its scheduled delivery in 2026.
Outfitting is taking place at Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen East shipyard, which is home to several of Damen Yachting’s new-build and refit projects, and located just three nautical miles from the builder’s Vlissingen City yard.
Amels 8003 arrives in Vlissingen
“The arrival of this Amels 80 marks the start of the next stage in the build process and reflects the continued success of this 80m design,” Damen Yachting stated.
The hull of the Amels 8003 was recently launched at Damen Yachting’s hull-building facility in Galati, Romania, before the 2,175GT superyacht was transported to Vlissingen. Built under the name Project Zurich, the yacht has accommodation for 14 guests and 20 crew plus a captain. ‘Further details surrounding the project remain confidential’, according to the shipyard.
The Amels 80 features exterior design by Espen Øino
Featuring exterior design by Espen Øino and naval architecture by Damen Yachting, the Amels 80 is the flagship of the Amels Limited Editions series and was introduced to the market in March 2022. Hull one is scheduled for delivery this year, followed by hulls two and three in 2026, and hull four in 2027.
